“Working with discarded fabrics means textiles were inevitable — rich in technique, heavy on aesthetics, and slightly obsessive about both. My tendency to weave stories around organic, whimsical forms carries through on textiles too, with surface treatments that echo my drawings and objects. Slow stitching is the foundation of everything I make — each piece grows stitch by stitch, often without a plan, like doodles on fabric.”
